This Class A – Manual program prepares students to pass the CDL Class A road exams and build a strong foundation for manual-transmission operation. In a structured classroom setting, you’ll cover FMCSA rules and safety, vehicle systems, trip planning, hours of service, cargo securement, and inspection procedures. In this instructor-led course, you’ll learn how to pass your pre-trip exam and master key safety regulations. Build the knowledge you need for range driving and behind-the-wheel training, and testing requirements, so you feel confident and prepared to pass your road exam. Our instructors will coach you through manual shifting techniques and clutch control. After our range exercises and behind the wheel training, you’ll be ready to test with confidence and have a clear understanding of what’s expected on the road and at the exam. This course is excellent for beginner drivers. Instructor will break down the importance following the FMCSA guidelines, give real life examples, and teach in-depth knowledge of ELD (Electronic Logging Device) and paper logs. The theory section can be taken online or in-person. All range driving and behind the wheel to be scheduled with an instructor.
